NSW Food Forum 2014

The 2014 NSW Food Forum was held in Sydney on March 11, jointly hosted by the NSW Ministry of Health, the Heart Foundation and the NSW Premier's Council for Active Living. 

The Forum was opened by the Minister for Healthy Lifestyles, the Hon. Kevin Humphries MP, and chaired by media personality Adam Spencer and bought together more than 250 stakeholders across community (20%), industry (11%), NGOs (16%), academia (19%), NSW Health (28%) and other government (6%). 

The Food Forum's aims were to:

  • to showcase and discuss key NSW and national initiatives that support and/or promote healthy eating and reduce overweight and obesity
  • to identify gaps and opportunities to guide NSW action to promote healthy eating and reduce overweight and obesity.
